In this locality we can observe an exposure of granite that has suffered extreme erosion, highlighting the fractures in the rock. This erosion has been caused by the combination of two factors: through fractures appearing as a result of pressure release which rocks formed at depth experience when overlying rocks are removed, such fractures then becoming exposed to the agents of erosion (water, ice, wind and biological activity).
