MAIN TRAIL - NAME OF INTEREST - CONCEPT -
The "Curral do Ramisquedo" shelter is similar to others encountered on this route, namely the shelters at Curral da Travanquinha and Fial or Colado da Porta. It is a shepherd’s shelter made out of granite, roughly circular in plan and capped with a false cupola. The small opening for the doorway faces south. This shelter is in a poor state of repair, covered with earth and with part of the wall in ruin. Despite this it retains its charm through its location, being near to a water course, sheltered from the north and west and looking out over the magnificent valley to the southeast.
