From this point it is possible to see various typical granite shapes (stacked blocks, chaotic group of blocks, granite spheres) which are evident in the landscape and which correspond to residual surface reliefs. These mark an older topographic surface which once existed above the current surface.
To the right can be seen a very narrow river valley – the Ribeiro do Forno – which flows into the Rio Homem. The orientation of this watercourse was influenced by a fault, along which the river became established.
