From this point, looking into the distance along the way we are following, we can see the Caniçada reservoir. This is one of the large artificial lakes constructed on the Upper Cávado and is one of the best known and most visited reservoirs in the Park on which various water sport activities are carried out. As well as by the Rio Cávado, Caniçada is also fed by other watercourses, amongst which is the Rio Gerês whose valley is also visible from this point.
