The Bicos ‘branda’ is, like the others seen so far on this walk, a summer village for grazing cattle, typical of these mountains, with small byres or cortelhos whose walls are constructed from piled up stones. This ‘branda’ belongs to Lombadinha. Despite having one or two family owned byres, this is above all, a communal ‘branda’. The magnificent setting of this ‘branda’ adds to its charm, located as it is on a flat, fertile grazing area, sheltered from winds by the hillside with an unrivalled view over the luxuriant Ramiscal wood.
