After the climb up, one reaches a more exposed place where the wind blows harder. One is at the “Portela” (pass) of “Chã de Presa”, a relatively flat area that facilitates communication between the two sides of the mountain range. One can see from here, for the final time, the valley of Teixeira, and spot the route that has already been walked and how high one has climbed.
From here on our route leads us down quite a steep slope, until we reach our destination, the “Portela de Leonte”.
