MAIN TRAIL - NAME OF INTEREST - CONCEPT - In areas with poor drainage, lower inclination, generally surrounded by very steep slopes, there often occur natural or semi-natural mountain meadows. In these meadows the main vegetation is herbaceous, dominated by grasses, or shrubby plants that provide food for the cattle (bovine, equine and ruminants). Traditionally these areas, found at higher altitudes are grazed between the months of May and September/ October. («) BACK TO TRAILS |
