Outeiro Route


The Outeiro Route starts and finishes at the Park Gateway in Paradela. As well as the Paradela reservoir and the villages of Outeiro and Parada de Outeiro, the route also features lime meadows,oakwoods and local biodiversity together with various traditional constructions, namely beehive defences and wolf traps.
You should allow about 10 hours to follow the entire route (with a total distance of about 21.5 kms) and give time to appreciate the points of interest that are listed (about 17 such points are described and identified, related to natural, cultural and geological features of significance). The walk is graded as difficult and is recommended only for peope with experience and physical fitness.
